Kindergarten Plus Afterschool Enrichment & Child Care

The teachers, the curriculum, the socializing aspect of it, and last but not least the fact that you are open almost every day of the year. Very helpful for working parents.

I've worked here for almost 15 years, having had the opportunity to work throughout the various communities that we serve. Along the way my son has became a participant in the Y, both at child care and resident camp. My son looks forward to his camp experience each year and achieving the goals that he set while he was up there the previous year. He always feel accepted when he is there.

Dear YMCA Staff, what I like about the YMCA is that we can do all sorts of things, especially coloring because I love it so much. When the YMCA staff is here cleaning we are at home playing, especially Ms. Dana she has to buy everything for us. Even though the YMCA has a lot of rules it's the best place to be.

The YMCA is awesome because we get to play games and make stuff! I love to play games at the YMCA, the yard is cool and I could stay there all day. I like playing the Wii and pool.

The Y has taught me a lot. By having elections for a Y president, I had a chance to know how it feels like to give speeches in front of people because I ran for President. Now I'm confident enough to run for president at my school. Oh and now I love public speaking. That's only one thing the Y has taught me though.

I started the YMCA in Kindergarten and my teacher was Ms. Lauren. In first grade my teacher was Ms. Cathy. In the second grade it was Ms. Victoria and Ms. Sarah. In the third grade it was Ms. Victoria, Ms. Tracy, and Mr. Oscar. In the fourth grade it was Ms. Beth and Ms. Tracy. I'm not in the fifth grade yet but I think it's going to be great.

They have friendly staff, provide age-appropriate and physical activities that kept my child interested and entertained. I love that they provide the hour after-school care for kindergartners that get out earlier than the upper grades.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last July. When the school year began, I found that I would undergo chemotherapy. The staff, under Tamara's leadership, was extremely supportive to me as I was sick and lost my hair and was very caring of my son. They were there to talk to him if he was sad about my illness and we all worked through the various phases of chemo together. I could not have asked for a better care situation for my son... and for me!

The YMCA means so much to me. Ms. Tracy and Ms. Beth does so much for us. The YMCA is good because if we didn't, we would get less money because our parent would have to quit their job or get fired.
