YMCA AFTERSCHOOL CARE PROGRAM AND NEW CLUB CURRICULUM
Building Strong Kids, Families and Communities
In a time when schools and families are cutting back to basics, your child, more than ever, needs the Y. Sports, homework support, exposure to the arts, technology, and time to have fun with friends are just a few highlights of the YMCA Afterschool program.
The YMCA of Orange County will be introducing a brand new club curriculum this fall! Our clubs, written and created exclusively for the YMCA Afterschool program, will include art, cooking, fitness, photography, and science. Each club is tailored to enhance your child's skills in a subject area, is hands-on and encourages social interactions, critical thinking and problem solving. The clubs are created to appeal to all age groups, whether your child is 5 or 11, and is a great way to complement and integrate your child's educational experience into a well-rounded curriculum. Your child will be able to explore their interests in a safe and supportive environment, develop inner-strength and character, increase their physical activities and social skills, and develop life-long hobbies in a safe and supportive environment!
"My son needs a safe enrichment program for afterschool care; a place where he could learn, grow and have fun while mommy and daddy goes to work. The staff is great and I feel completely confident and at ease that my son is well cared for and instructed by energetic, caring and supportive individuals in a great organization that is also on his school's campus; which is even greater!"
