North Orange County Family YMCA unveils NEW Fitness Studio in Yorba Linda
Fitness Studio offers adult and youth classes, Kid Zone, sports programs, and swim lessons
On January 30th, the North Orange County Family YMCA opened its doors to the first YMCA Fitness Studio in Orange County. The Grand Opening Event featured class demonstrations, activities for children, prizes, and a taco bar. Those in attendance also had the opportunity to tour the newly remodeled studio and sign up for free classes being held in February. Local and city officials attended the ribbon cutting ceremony, showing their support and appreciation to Clare McKenna, Executive Director of the North Orange County Family YMCA, for her many years of dedication to these communities. A special thanks to the cities of Yorba Linda and Placentia for their ongoing support of the YMCA and to those city officials in attendance: Yorba Linda Mayor John Anderson, Mayor Pro-Tem Nancy Rikel, Placentia Mayor Joseph Aguirre, and Legislative Representatives Jody Roberto from Senator Bob Huff’s office and Karalee Etheridge from Congressman Gary Miller’s office.

The studio is colorful, warm, and inviting and was designed to meet the needs of the local community with accessible and innovative programs. The studio offers a variety of exercise classes - including Yoga, Pilates, Zumba™, TRX® Training, Combat Blast & More – that keep work-outs fun for the whole family. In addition to adult fitness classes, the studio offers Yoga for Kids & Teens, classes for seniors, as well as community based programs such as swim lessons, summer day camp, sports leagues, and Y Guides parent-child programs.
