The YMCA has been teaching people to swim for over a century with a variety of swim programs for all ages that challenge and develop participants in spirit, mind, & body. The YMCA is a nonprofit charity that provides scholarship assistance so that everyone can LEARN TO SWIM!

Program Descriptions

Swim Lessons: Group & private lesson formats for all ages, including parent & child classes as early as 4 months old. YMCA lessons use a learn to swim progression from water orientation to stroke introduction that meets the needs of swimmers at all levels.

Swim Team: For youth ages 5 – 18, beginner – advanced levels.

Stroke Development: Refine skills and techniques in preparation for YMCA Swim Team.

Masters Swim: Specialized training for adults to improve their technique and conditioning to be a competitive swimmer.

Water Polo: For youth ages 8 – 18, athletes learn drills, skills, and rules in preparation for competition.

Dry Land Training: Program is designed to build strength and endurance for better swimming performance.

Lifeguard Training: Training in preparation to become a lifeguard.

Recreation/Family Swim: Bring the whole family to the YMCA for a swim.

Water Aerobics: Enjoy a low impact workout, great for all ages and those suffering from arthritis.

Safe ‘N Splash: A celebration of swimming designed to help kids 6months to 3 years of age be safe and healthy at the pool, beach or water park! Led by certified YMCA swim instructor, the program focuses on: Entering/exiting the pool safely, blowing bubbles, floating, jumping in, and listening. Free swim lessons throughout the month of May!
