Daily Schedules

While school is in session, the day is divided into three segments: Before School Program, Kindergarten Program, and the After School Program.

Special Holiday Schedules

Holiday Schedule 2009
Holiday Schedule 2010

Before-School Program
begins at 6:45 am (at most locations) and is loosely structured for flexibility to allow for children arriving at varying times. A calm and receptive environment is created to allow children to acclimate and orient for the day’s activities. A homework table is set up with a YMCA staff person available for assistance. This enables the children to review or complete homework assignments. Also available are quiet, short-term activities including reading, board games and creative art projects.

Full Day Summer Program!
Join us for a fun summer! Our summer program runs all day, from approximately 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Each week has a "theme" and includes great field trips, water days, outdoor recreation, arts and crafts and more! Parents are notified of schedules in advance on the monthly calendar.

Kindergarten Program (at select locations)
continues from school starting time until afternoon kindergarten start time, and/or from morning kindergarten dismissal through upper grade dismissal time. Daily schedule includes lunch (provided by parent), and a combination of teacher led and child initiated activities including outdoor play, reading time, group time and activity centers.

Kindergarten Plus Program (at select locations)
continues from morning kindergarten dismissal through upper grade dismissal time. Daily schedule includes lunch (provided by parent) and activities that build upon The Department of Education Kindergarten Standards and reinforces what is being taught in the kindergarten classroom.

Afterschool Program
begins at school dismissal and continues until 6:00 pm. When children begin arriving from school, a range of educational, developmental and recreational activities are made available for them. The planning of these activities is based on the YMCA of the USA School-Age Curriculum and the principles of the National Afterschool Association, and includes parent and children input.
