The Major Gifts / Chairmans Round

Table component of the 2008 fundraising campaign is off to a great start.The 2008 team began meeting last October and thus far we have been successful in raising over $92,000. This is 131%of our $70,000 goal and the team is not done yet! We plan to continue our efforts through February and raise even moremoney. Our teams new target now is 150% (105K) of goal and we encourage the other campaign teams to share the WestCounty YMCA's mission with all you come in contact with and to remember that our YMCA is everywhere there is a need in our community. The more funds we can raise the more lives we can impact!!

Remember when you are talking to prospects that you never know where the conversation will take you. Don't be afraid to ask if their company,friends or family members might be willing to support an awesome non-profit organization. As Wayne Gretzky once said:"You miss 100% of the shots you never take", likewise, "You miss out on 100% of the pledges you never ask for".So, dont' be afraid to ask, get fired up, share the "Y" story and do your best in 2008 for the the West County YMCA.
