Why Support Your Y?

West County Family YMCA serves over 5000 families in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.  You’re probably familiar with our wonderful After School Aged Childcare Programs, YGuides and Princesses and Sports Programs.  But did you know that our YMCA provides much needed programs to communities in need at no cost?  We also provide financial assistance to any families who could not otherwise afford to participate in our programs.

Do you know about the YMCA Oak View Community Center?  Our YMCA operates a drop in center for at risk youth in the Oak View Community, providing them with a safe environment, positive adult role models and homework help.  We offer drop in sports programs, league sports, field trips and more, every day from 2 pm to 6 pm, and all day Saturdays.  This is a community that has been plagued with gang violence, high drop out rates, and multiple families living in very small apartments.  YMCA programs allow these youth to have fun, get exercise and learn teamwork.
