2008
Partner with Youth Campaign
The 2008 Partner with Youth Campaign is almost
upon us! I am very honored and excited to be this year’s
campaign chair. We have a very dedicated and enthusiastic
team of campaigners and I am confident that we will be able to
achieve our campaign goal of $140,000.00. Numerous meetings/brainstorming
sessions have already occurred to ensure that we will not only
bring in the dollars but that it will be a fun campaign. Of
course sharing the YMCA story makes it even more worthwhile. I
challenge each and every one of you to make a difference in someone’s
life by donating and encourage your friend’s and associates
to do the same. Together we CAN make a difference. Continue...

Child Care Programs
Kids at the Seacliff Child Care Center are
having a blast! Children are enjoying reading in the new

colorful rug. When children read and log their books, the
staff gives them a short quiz. Any child who reads 50
books receives a race car! Continue... |

Y-Guides & Princesses
The Y-Guides and Princesses were as hot as the
heat wave that swept through Southern California this summer! We
thought that things would cool down a little before school started,
but these dads and their sons and daughters are always on fire! Pacific
Eagle Nation blazed their trail to the Tepee village up at Big
Rock Creek Camp where they tested their low-ropes coarse skills
and caught fish by the dozen. Continue...
YMCA Day at the Angels

Executive Director Corner
Wow! I can’t believe it’s already fall! With
fall comes football, leaves changing (if you’re lucky)
and the holidays. The holidays can be a tough time
for some families in need. Consider the many blessings
you and your family have. Now, think for a moment
about the families that may not have the same blessings.
This is an ideal time to give back to the community. Consider
food drives, adopting a family, sending holiday packages
to our soldiers serving our country overseas. Continue... |
