Executive Director Corner
Wow! I can’t believe it’s already fall! With
fall comes football, leaves changing (if you’re lucky) and
the holidays. The holidays can be a tough time for some families
in need. Consider the many blessings you and your family have. Now,
think for a moment about the families that may not have the same
blessings.
This is an ideal time to give back to the community. Consider
food drives, adopting a family, sending holiday packages to our soldiers
serving our country overseas. Some families have lost loved
ones through the year, or have hit hard times. It may just
be the generosity of a YMCA member that brightens someone’s
holiday, which may otherwise be a sad and lonely time.
There are many opportunities to give back. If you would like
to participate in a community service project, but don’t know
what to do, give us a call. We can share some of ours! Enjoy
your football games, play in the leaves (if you have any!) and have
a safe, happy and healthy holiday season- from all of us at the YMCA
