The Y is Making an Impact on Youth & Families in Orange County

Festival of Children September 2011 @ South Coast Plaza
The Y will be joining several other nonprofit and youth serving organizations in this month long festival, held at South Coast Plaza every weekend throughout September.  Over 100 free family activities will be offered, including live music, dance performances, arts and crafts, animal shows, face painting, and more.  Stop by the YMCA booth for fun prizes and information on healthy and engaging activities for youth and families all over Orange County.

September 2011 has officially been recognized as National Child Awareness Month (NCAM) by the United States Senate. The Festival of Children Foundation is proud to have succeeded, once again, in its efforts to promote awareness of children’s charities and youth-serving organizations across the United States.

This month long September celebration aims to raise awareness of our children based on four guiding principles:

Nurture one child. That’s all it takes to make a difference. Click here to read how the Fullerton Family YMCA is making a difference in one child’s life.

Children are the future of philanthropy. It’s our responsibility to teach them the importance of sharing and giving back. Actions speak louder than words. Click here to read how the YMCA Youth & Government Program is teaching teens to give back!
