YMCA of Orange County 2017 Annual Report

“Jackie and her mother have been struggling for some time now. They have been jumping from shelter to shelter in search of a better opportunity and a more stable life. The school principal reached out to the YMCA in hopes of helping Jackie and her mother. Jackie loves coming to our program and often times gets upset if mom picks her up early. Having other children to interact with in a safe and friendly environment is a blessing to a mom. ‘I love that Jackie likes to be at the Y, she is not shy anymore,’ mom commented to the staff. Mom has recently been able to find a job as a hair stylist and is thankful for all the help the YMCA has provided.” - Elizabeth Medina Child Care Director
