YMCA of Orange County 2017 Annual Report

2017 was another great year at the YMCA of Orange County! We purchased the building that the Association Office has been housed in for the last 20 years. As we continue to grow, having a permanent home for the Association Office stabilizes our commitment to the communities we serve. We also saw the start of our childcare renovation project. In 2017 we renovated 16 of our 70 childcare sites. This renovation project will update our childcare sites with bright new colors, beautiful new floors and furniture, and the latest in technology which will enhance the learning experience for all the children who are entrusted to our care every day by parents and schools alike. We will continue to renovate 12 to 15 sites a year until all our childcare sites have been remodeled. We acquired the Pomona service area this year, which gave us the addition of the Maple Hill Family YMCA and the YMCA Early Learning Center in Diamond Bar. We are excited to welcome these new additions to the YMCA of Orange County family! Although 2017 was a very successful year for the YMCA of Orange County, it was not without its challenges. However, with challenges comes growth, and we have certainly seen growth this past year amongst our staff, our Board of Directors, and within the programs we offer. We are now, and will continue to be One Y, with One goal, in One community…. Yours. Jeff McBride President/CEO “We are now, and will continue to be One Y, with One goal, In One community….
