YMCA of Orange County Summer/Fall 2019 Program & Activities Guide

Inclusion services are provided to children between the ages of 3 and 17 attending preschools, summer camps, child care, and after school programs throughout Orange County. Inclusion focuses on teaching and developing play, social, and self-care skills, managing behavioral challenges, and building confidence and independence through the use of positive reinforcement, behavioral interventions and other support strategies. Inclusion can be utilized for all children with special needs and/ or challenging behaviors. We provide services to children with but not limited to: developmental and learning disabilities, sensory challenges, epilepsy, autism, ADHD, emotional disturbance, as well as assist with self-care (diapering, feeding, etc.) if needed. For more information contact your nearest child care site or email inclusion@ymcaoc.org “Feeling like you belong is so important to each one of us. There’s a real need for services for special needs families, and we were struggling to find a place for Andre. The Y is an all-inclusive community that provides a variety of programs and activities for those with special needs.” - Inclusion Parent 9
