Katie holds a master’s degree in kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. As a graduate student at CSUF, she contributes chapters to the book, Strength Training. She specializes in training for sports performance and exercises to aid in injury rehabilitation. Her knowledge of biomechanics enables her to identify and correct movement patterns which may contribute or lead to injury. She has experience with working with a vast array of individuals- from the elite athlete to the older adult. As a previous NCAA DI cross-country and track athlete, Katie also has expertise in training for endurance events such as 5k’s and marathons. In her free time, she enjoys running, lifting, and hiking. She is currently training to compete in Spartan Races at the Elite level. Katie believes in goal-oriented program development and trains each client based on their individual goals and needs.
