Director Jean Alvarez

My name is Jean Alvarez and I am proud to be the Site Lead for Davis YMCA. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with Degree in Teaching. I have always enjoyed teaching and working with students and their families and have done so for more than 8 years in a variety of positions in education and supplemental education. My goal for Davis YMCA is to build a community where parents and children can feel safe while learning and can grow as a family. At Davis YMCA, we believe learning and fun go hand in hand and the road to success is just as important as the destination. I look forward to serving as many families as we can and making them part of our DAVIS YMCA family.

Director Gisela Califano

Hi, my name is Gisela Califano. I started working for the YMCA in 2006 as an assistant teacher and continued to learn and grow into the director I am today. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the positive effect that we make on all these children and families. We try our best to make Mariners YMCA fun and exciting for all age groups. Mariners YMCA is more like a family, we all love and care about each other and want to see everyone succeed. My main focus here at the YMCA is to guide children and families to a path that is positive and healthy. A smile really does go a long way.
