Health & Fitness Trainer Highlight: NEWPORT-MESA FAMILY YMCA
Outside of work, Carina stays active with her husband and her two sons. The Longworths enjoy mountain bike riding, running, tennis, stand up paddle boarding, snow skiing, and water skiing. Fitness to her is when one feels good in their body and enjoys the ability to live life without fatigue or injury. She seeks to empower herself and others by taking charge of their overall health: mind, body and spirit.
Carina is experienced in Yoga, Group Cycle, Boot Camp, TRX®, and Pilates. She is currently certified as a personal trainer through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA), in Group Exercise though the American Fitness Association of America (AFAA), served 200 hours RYT through Yogafit, and Spinning (group cycle) experience through Johnny G. Carina continuously works to expand her knowledge of fitness and she loves to learn new ways to keep her students focused on reaching their health and fitness goals.
Carina brings passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle to her instruction. She focuses on well-designed sessions and uses her positive energy for motivation. She consistently encourages her students to be mindful of their movements, to focus on proper alignment and to put their best effort into each exercise experience. Incorporating the mind-body connection into the exercise is always reinforced.
