C.A.R.E.S Backpack Drive: in collaboration with CARES, we collect new backpacks and school supplies to help kids start the school year off right. CARES is a YMCA program offering Christian Assistance Resources Education & Services to staff, members and communities.

Essentials Drive: collect essential items for homeless infants and toddlers, and help raise awareness to support homeless families.

Box of Love Project: each year we adopt local families in our area to provide food for Thanksgiving.  We collect canned and boxed foods, as well as grocery store gift cards and hand-deliver to the recipient families.

Other Service Learning Projects: Beach Cleanup.

Hi, I am Jessica I am the Director here at Castille YMCA!  I started with the YMCA as an Assistant Director here at Castille YMCA! I have been working with children of various ages for the last 7 years.  I graduated from California State University, Chico with my degree in Child Development.  I come from a large family consisting of past educators and am an advocate in children’s education.  I love the outdoors and when I am not at work you can usually find me hiking, swimming, on my bike, and spending time with my family and dog.  I love working with the children at the YMCA and am so happy to be here!

“My kids love going to the YMCA and ask me to pick them up late (rather than early!) so they can stay at the YMCA longer. The staff arranges fun, interesting activities for the kids but gives them plenty of freedom to do come up with their own activities also (ex. build an entire village for their fuse bead penguins). Also, as a parent, I am always thrilled to see homework coming home completely or at least mostly completed! Thank you!” – Mission Viejo YMCA Parent “The YMCA after school program has been great! They are in tune with the needs of the kids, as well as the parents!”
